01/07/2010 - Australian Online Advertising Company Set to Change Things
New online advertising model keeps visitors on the page, increases web page visit duration and significantly improves brand engagement.
Today (Thursday 1st July 2010) Australian start-up Edgevertise launches its new online advertising engine, which promises to change the way online advertising works and give website visitors, website publishers and advertisers a much more rewarding experience. Media pioneer Chris Adams to reference Edgevertise launch in his keynote speech at AIMIA Connect in Sydney today.
Unlike current online advertising models such as conventional banner ads and context sensitive ads (like Google Pay Per Click advertising), Edgevertise advertising (an 'Edgelet') sits at the side of a website, and being a fully functioning 'mini mobile website', can be looked at, browsed and clicked through by the visitor, without the visitor having to be taken away from the main 'host' website.
Website publishers have always struggled with the fact that, if an ad is successful in attracting attention, the website visitor leaves their site, perhaps never to come back. The Edgevertise advertising model fixes this. As well as being able to use the Edgevertise 'Edgelet' to deliver advertising and revenue, a publisher can also use it to display more of its own content - making use of the extra space above the fold.
"I'm delighted that, after four years in development, we are able to announce the launch of the Edgevertise content and application delivery system today. We have always had in mind the interests of all internet users, including advertisers and publishers and have found what we think is the answer to the challenges that have always faced existing online advertising models." said Edgevertise founder and CEO Roop Bhadury.
Media pioneer, entertainment executive and entrepreneur Chris Adams, who is on the Edgevertise Advisory Board, will reference the Edgevertise technology in his keynote speech at the AIMIA Connect event today.
"My friend and colleague Chris Deering suggested I look at what Edgevertise were doing and all I can say is that their model looks as if it may turn the world of online advertising on its head. Here is a solution that looks like it will give everyone what they want" said Adams.
09/03/2009 - dotRED to attend ad:tech Digital Marketing Event in Sydney, preview Edgevertise
Following the news of the release of our flagship product Edgevertise, the dotRED team will preview the product to the public for the first time at ad:tech 2009 in Sydney. ad:tech is the event for digital marketing professionals the world over and Sydney is host to the first ad:tech for 2009, held on the 10th and 11th of March. Sydney joins the likes of Paris, London, New York and Tokyo as host to one of ten ad:tech events this year, featuring international keynote speakers, industry experts and astounding networking opportunities. Our decision to drive to the Sydney event is a welcome one indeed; departing from Brisbane on road will guarantee that for roughly eleven hours, we all get some much needed time away from the PC screen.
Additionally the road trip will allow Roop Bhadury (dotRED's CEO) to rehearse his seminar presentation (Roop's ad:tech seminar details) given by industry experts at the event. We've unanimously agreed though not to practice our singing during the trip; it is well and truly beyond help. While attending the ad:tech event we hope to make a splash with our dotRED and Edgevertise.com brands, and meet our lofty expectations for Edgevertise's launch. We hope to see you there! ad:tech Sydney runs over the 10th and 11th of March at the Sydney Convention Centre.
